Cape Fox Facilities Services (CFFS), LLC, a Cape Fox Corporation (CFC) subsidiary, shines the spotlight on a husband-and-wife team who continuously go above and beyond their areas of responsibility to ensure CFFS delivers the Army Traffic Safety Training Program (ATSTP) curriculum to its customers. Dan and Kathy Matt are loyal, hardworking employees who show an extraordinary devotion to maintaining the ATSTP. They worked faithfully at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas prior to the Pandemic. During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a loss of employees in New York and Maryland. This left a service gap in supporting the training schedule established by the government. Dan and Kathy volunteered to help cover the training shortages and taught motorcycle and driver’s training courses at Ft. Polk, LA, Ft. Drum NY, Ft. Meade, MD, Presidio of Monterrey, CA, and Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. Additionally, Kathy recently spent a month at Ft. Wainwright, AK because of an emergency training requirement. For their hard work, devotion, and willingness to maintain the mission of the ATSTP, Cape Fox is honoring both with the Cape Fox Employee Spotlight Tinàa Award for Employee Excellence. They are truly deserving of this honor.
Dan and Kathy have long worked for Cape Fox, starting with Cape Fox Government Services in April 2015. They are true professionals who staunchly advocate and work toward contract success. When asked by students, both are praised for being exceptional instructors. They work tirelessly, spend days apart, and travel continuously, without a complaint. Due to their diligence and proficiency, Dan and Kathy saved the company thousands by volunteering when instructors were difficult to place. Their original station of Ft. Leavenworth is once again fully functional, and yet, Dan and Kathy still provide ATSTP additional instructor support when necessary. The Ft. Leavenworth local contracting officer representative stated that Dan and Kathy went out of their way to help find and setup the new range to ensure Soldiers assigned to Ft. Leavenworth could meet DoD mandatory training requirements.
Dan and Kathy provide support to ATSTP because it is their professional family, and family is important to them. When they are not working, they enjoy teaching military Soldiers, taking motorcycle journeys with their friends or each other, and spending time with their grandchildren, and volunteering for church activities.
Dan and Kathy exemplify the values, passion, and commitment deserving of a Cape Fox Employee Spotlight Tinàa Award. They are valuable assets to their colleagues, customers, and Cape Fox. It is through their professionalism, their dedication to duty, and their positive and inspiring attitude that help the ATSTP successfully meet contract requirements, ultimately leading to CFFS receiving an exceptional overall on the annual CPARS ratings. Thank you, Dan and Kathy!
