Kids at Easter Egg Hunt

Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Egg HuntThe Easter holiday is one of great significance in Ketchikan, not only for the Native community, but for the entire town. Anticipation is high for the annual Easter Egg Hunt, which is marked by the excitement of both the children and their families. Working with the Alaska Native Brotherhood/Alaska Native Sisterhood Camp 15 and Salvation Army, Cape Fox Corporation supports the event, providing generous donations from Cape Fox FCG employees.

Each year volunteers from Cape Fox Corporation spend hours dying and then distributing eggs around Saxman Totem Park. Children enjoy filling their baskets full as they race to find as many brightly colored eggs as they can. Last year’s Easter egg hunt included 5,000+ dyed eggs and raffle tickets for monetary prizes, all hidden in Saxman Totem Park. This event brings out young and old alike to enjoy the festivities.
