CFFS Employee Puts the Care in Career

PRESS RELEASE | HEATHER KAISER | MAY 23, 2023

Cape Fox Corporation (CFC) subsidiary, Cape Fox Facilities Services, LLC (CFFS), has often stood out from other government contractors for its magnificent team of talented employees.  CFFS stands out for its mission-oriented positions that provide challenging yet meaningful work that focuses on the individual. One such talented individual who has stood out was Alexis Joyner-Harris.  CFFS shines a spotlight on Alexis for her meticulous work and enthusiastic willingness to take on new challenges and excel at every opportunity. Alexis produces results and, as such, is a tremendous asset to CFFS. We proudly award her a Cape Fox Tinàa Award for Employee Excellence. This award is presented to employees who demonstrate dedication, performance, dependability, productivity, and attitude.

Alexis is an HR Specialist on CFFS’ United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Human Resource Transformation Services (HRTS) contract. She has worked on this contract since October 2017. Her job duties include supporting USAID Bureaus, Missions, Independent Offices (Ios), and Foreign Service Officers with tasks related to Foreign Service Assignments. This includes providing guidance and assistance with the validation of positions. She also assists with bids and compliance and provides support to Administrative Management Specialists (AMS) and Executive Offices who participate in the position validation process. This also includes providing technical support for the assignment tools.

The diligent work and commitment Alexis has shown has not gone unnoticed by the customer.  Kristen Vasquez, Director at USAID, commented, “Throughout my career and time at USAID, I can’t deny the importance of my colleagues’ and how vital their role is to my success. Alexis, as part of the FSA Team has an immense portfolio as she is one of 4 employees on the team that are responsible for providing critical HQ support to all B/IOs during and after the Assignment Cycles. She has consistently demonstrated a professional demeanor, is always very responsive, dependent, and thorough with assignment actions. She offers a wealth of knowledge and that has helped the Bureau incredibly when making staffing decisions. Most importantly Alexis is someone who is abundantly detailed when processing the myriad of administrative tasks and personnel actions we send.”

Another USAID employee, Marcelle Davis, added, “Alexis is a pivotal part of the success of the Foreign Service Center’s Assignments (FSC/FSA) portfolio. She is incredibly well organized, an expert at her craft and committed to a superior level of customer service to the entire Agency. Alexis takes the time to partner with AMS, empowering us to use new systems, and engage her in all phases of the assignments process. Always available, and always willing to go the extra mile. Alexis is a constant professional and an integral part of FSC/FSA’s success.”

Alexis is passionate about the work she does and passionate about making a difference in lives. Outside of work, Alexis is pursuing her Ph.D. in clinical psychology, and she also volunteers as a crisis counselor. For fun, she enjoys traveling, going to museums, and spending time with her family.

Alexis is a remarkable individual and an asset to the CFFS team. Her caring attitude, dependable nature, and steadfast commitment to her work have resulted in an employee who shines with magnificence. Great job, Alexis!
